Under Kate Brown, the state budget is out of control. Salem is addicted to spending Oregon taxpayers money, and the result is more taxes, more waste, and no accountability.
As Mayor of Happy Valley, Chavez-DeRemer balanced the budget every year and helped the city put $2.5 million dollars in reserves. She was also able to pay off city debts early which saved taxpayers almost $900,000 in interest payments. This is the type of fiscally responsible leadership we need in Salem.
